PQ & GT was founded in 1989 to protect the latest communications equipment from electric faults. These faults lead to diminished performance and failures.

The overwhelming success of applying new technologies to established electrical testing methods was definitive and immediate.

Sources of these faults have been found to be numerous; mostly the equipment itself; but also, power supply, lightning, solar flares (aurora borealis, aurora australis), snow and wind.
